Reservations
All tour services provided by Ka´ango Tours must be booked by the client or agency, by paying 50% of the quote at least 48 hours (or 15 days for agencies) in advance of the time and date of the tour.
The remaining 50% of balance must be paid 24 hours before the tour starts. Agencies must pay such balance 7 days before the tour is dated.
Failure by the client or agency to pay the reservation in time releases Ka´ango Tours from any liability regarding the provision of the quoted tour services.
Payment can be made at our website, in cash, by bank transfer or deposit into an account, and the receipt must be shown to Ka´ango Tours, who must provide the confirmation of reservation to the client or agency, once the payment has been confirmed.
If payment is made by credit or debit card using third-party point of sales, the client accepts the applicable rates and commissions according to the policies of each point of sale.
Changes in reservations
At the explicit request of the client or agency, changes can be made to the reservation, as long as this modifications are requested at most 48 hours (7 days for agencies) prior to the scheduled tour service and under the following conditions:
Change in number of visitors. Subject to availability of the capacity of the scheduled tour; if the change is to a greater number of visitors, the proportional part of the new number of visitors must be paid at the time of the request. In case the number is lower, Ka´ango Tours will add the credit in favor to the the final balance.
Change of date. Subject to availability of the new requested date.
Change of tour. Subject to availability and capacity of the new service requested.
Modifitations do not generate penalties. But current rates at the time of the requested modifications will apply.
Cancellations and refunds
At the explicit request of the client or agency, any reservation may be cancelled under the following conditions:
If cancellation is requested up to 7 days (15 days for agencies) prior to the date of the tour booked, Ka´ango Tours will fully reund the total amount paid, up to the time of the cancellation request. This will dissolve any obligation of Kaángo Tours to the client.
If cancellation is requested from 7 days to 48 hours (15 to 7 days for agencies) prior to the tour booked, Kaángo Tours will retain 10% of the total value quoted of the reservation, refunding the remaining balance to the client. This will dissolve any obligation of Kaángo Tours to the client.
If cancellation is requested within 48 to 24 hours (or 7 days to 24 hours for agencies) prior to the tour booked, Ka´ango Tours will retain 20% of the total value quoted of the reservation, refunding to the client any other amount paid in their favor. Thus, any obligation of Kaángo Tours to the client will be dissolved.
No refunds apply when cancellation is requested within 24 hours of the tour booked.
Refund will be made in the same way of payment, considering a 6% commission to be retained if the payment was made through a third point of sale.
No-Shows and other reasons for cancellation
If the client does not show up on the date, time and place of the meeting point, the service tour is considered to have been given and the client waives the right to make any claim and to request any refund. Thus, any obligation of Ka´ango Tours to the client is dissolved.
If, for reasons beyond Ka´ango Tours’ control, such as weather, medical, among others; official authorities give the order to delay, modify or cancel the tour. Ka´ango Tours will look after the client’s interests by offering them options to change the date, change the itinerary, offer alternative routes and services to fulfill the contracted services or their equivalents, at no extra cost to the client. If, upon notification from the authorities, non of the options offered by Ka´ango Tours as an alternative service is accepted by the client; then the client may request a refund of the total amount paid for the reservation.
Ka´ango Tours, it´s personnel and guides, reserve the right to cancel the tour, either individually or as a group, before or during the tour, in cases when the visitor brakes the rules of conduct and use of the places to be visited, which are explained prior to the tour. Or whenever the client physically or verbally attacks other visitors or members of the staff. Not without first letting the visitor know of the offense committed and giving them the opportunity to correct it. If cancellation occurs, the rest of the booked service is considered to be fullfilled and at that moment any obligation of Ka´ango Tours to the client is dissolved.
About the acceptance of Ka´ango Tours policies
Ka´ango Tours is required to share these policies with all customers, prior the payment of any reservation.
With the payment of the reservation by the client or agency, the policies listed in this document are deemed to have been read, understood and accepted.
